When we heard about TechLabs for the first time, it was immediately clear to us: this initiative must also be represented in Aachen. That's why we decided to establish TechLabs 2020 as a student initiative and create a lively digital learning community in Aachen. What we particularly liked about the idea: The possibility to not only offer a sophisticated course program free of charge, but also to deepen the freshly gained knowledge directly in practice and to establish exciting contacts with institutes and companies

It may seem strange to many people why we want to offer the program at one of the most renowned technical universities in Germany, especially since many study programs already offer such courses off- and on-line. The answer is quite simple: "We enable everyone who is motivated to pick up the current digital skills of Data Science, AI, Web development in a unique 6-month program comprising of online courses, project work while working in a lively and energetic community to become a "Techie". Our techies are students (technical and nontechnical degree program), working professionals with zero background knowledge in coding and so on which leads to a diverse set of groups working towards a single goal which is to learn something new and create something exciting. They are also offered mentorship from leading experts in the field to learn the crux of the trade. Not to mention that we have regular company-sponsored hackathons, speaker events, and other workshops which is an icing on the cake! Also, we want to remind you again that all this for no cost at all!!

The United Nation's 4th Global Goals for development has Lifelong learning opportunities for all. We through TechLabs at Aachen want to constantly provide a platform for not only learning but also to use it to go solve real-life problems. We can't do this alone without the help of external partners and sponsors. We are always on the lookout for mutual collaborations benefitting either side and would love to have you on board. We also hold hackathons and other events that can help you in brand building, recruitment, and the possibilities are endless. If you are an individual with expert knowledge then you can surely join us as a mentor. We are also always on the lookout for fellow team members who share the same passion as we do to rid the world of digital illiteracy.
